Allina Medical Transportation is one of Minnesota's largest ambulance and medical transport services. We serve 75 communities where more than 750,000 people live.
Handling heart problems
We work closely with area hospitals to assure the best possible outcomes for people with heart problems. Our cardiac expertise includes the ability to use ECG technology, as well as thrombolytics and other lifesaving drugs as we bring patients to the hospital.
We also equip and teach communities to be "heart safe."
Keeping you breathing
A critical part of emergency care is making sure a patient can breathe. That's why each staff member receives advanced training in surgical airway management and other ways to get or keep someone breathing before reaching the hospital.
Caring for children
Allina Medical Transportation staff gain specialized training in the emergency needs of children. This education is provided through a partnership with Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and Emergency Medical Services for Children.
Advancing our skills
We focus on continual learning and skill advancement of our emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics.
Before independent fieldwork, new EMTs and paramedics complete our training academy and work with a field training officer.
Our employees regularly go through scenarios in real-life settings to review the best course of action in emergency situations.
Monthly case reviews enhance learning from actual situations.
An exclusive Web site provides more training opportunities.
