Hospice and palliative care

 
 

Palliative care aims to relieve suffering and improve quality of life for patients who have advanced illness. A health care team can give this type of care while a patient is receiving regular medical treatments. Family support is also provided.

Hospice care provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients who have life-limiting illness. Hospice care is for patients who may have less than 6 months to live. Family support is also provided.
